Trail Map

The preserve itself is 80 acres of what was once a popular hunting ground for the Mohawk Indians. Jacob’s ladder (Polemonium van-bruntiae) a globally rare plant, can be found at Lordsland.

The site is rumored to have gotten its name from Mrs. Louise Moore, who donated the preserve to The Nature Conservency’s New York Chapter in 1971 and called it “the land of the Lord.” OLT acquired the property from The Nature Conservancy in March of 2019.

Lordsland Preserve trails are frequently part of the Otsego Outdoors challenges!
