Deowongo Island is the only island in Canadarago Lake. The island is an iconic regional treasure, with a unique cultural and ecological history.

Once a popular travel route from the Mohawk Valley, Indigenous Americans, as well as white traders, botanists, and tourists frequented the island.

The island can be accessed by canoe, kayak, or small motor craft.
